Comparison between digital and analog photographs

The left photo shows all the hallmarks of a digital image: sharp, crispy, good colors -- all in all, boring. I took a couple of dozens of photographs and was able to chose the best one. It would take hours of a Photoshop professional to give it all the effects you can see on the right hand photo: scratches from the cheap film development stand, faded blueish colors of a cheap negative, dust and dirt that I could not see on the negative before scanning, grain. The extremly narrow DOF results from the fact that I decided to use the largest aperture of my new m42 lens -- of course, only uninteresting fragments of the bricks are sharp, the water streams were not properly focused. But what a magnificent bokeh! Of course, I only made two photographs, firstly, because I had no means of seeing whether the results are OK, and secondly, because it costs money.

The other one was even better.
